FAQ's

What is U-Tech?

U-Tech builds apps that help people connect with peers, learn, meet-up and find work through community.

Who is U-Tech for?
  • Workers who want to be seen for who they are

  • Employers who care about fit, trust, and retention

  • Communities and industries that rely on people working well together

  • Partners shaping the future of work, skills, and redeployment

How is U-Tech different from traditional job platforms?

Most platforms match documents and CV 'keywords', U-Tech goes way beyond that by focussing on how people show up, interact, and contribute within trusted communities, creating fairer, more accurate hiring outcomes.

Do I need a CV to use U-Tech?

No.
CVs are optional and can be a useful addition to your profile. But its your behaviour, participation, aptitudes, reliability matter more than just your qualifications on paper.

How does U-Tech assess people without CVs?

By observing real behaviour over time. Every interaction, replies, availability, collaboration, support, becomes a signal that helps build a more honest picture of who someone is and how they work. Everybody can have a bad day at the interview, we show skills over time in low-pressure environments.

Is all this data safe?

Yes.

U-Tech is built with ethical data use at its core.
Your data is used to support your own opportunity and wellbeing. Its up to you to choose what you want to send to an employer at the time when you make a job application.

Your data, on your terms.

Does U-Tech work with education providers or government?

Absolutely!

U-Tech is designed to support social mobility, workforce planning, and fair access to opportunity across sectors. Educational establishments can create hackathons, workgroups, projects, across all our apps helping students and industry connect for efficient talent pipelines.

Is U-Tech an AI company?
We certainly use AI, it helps build our platforms and shows patterns and insights, but it doesn’t make decisions.
We let the technology support human judgement, rather than replace it.
Is U-Tech replacing recruiters or HR teams?

We can certainly help save costs and reduce the time it takes to find great candidates, but no.

U-Tech actually supports better decisions for recruiters and employers with richer insights.

What does “social recruitment” mean?

It means opportunity flows through belonging.

People build visibility by participating in industry-specific communities, not by applying blindly to roles.

What is "Redeployment" Intelligence?

It’s U-Tech’s way of helping people move forward as work changes.

By understanding transferable behaviours and skills, we help people redeploy into new roles and industries with dignity.

How does U-Tech help people from non-traditional backgrounds?

By removing algorithms and filters that exclude people before they’re even seen.

If you didn’t attend the “right” school, follow a linear path, or optimise a CV with 'keywords', U-Tech gives you another way to be recognised through real participation and your community.
